Le Spectateur

This armchair is from the new collection, inspired by cinema, and this particular piece is dedicated to the spectator — a person who doesn't simply watch a movie, but thinks it through, reflects, and becomes a co-creator in the process. We thought a lot about what shape of armchair would suit such a viewer, and this piece is our attempt to answer that question. It shouldn't be too soft, so as not to overly relax the viewer, but at the same time, it should be comfortable enough to spend several hours watching. With its tectonics, it recalls the classic shapes of cinema armchairs: a rounded back and shortened armrests. And, of course, the strongly expressed wooden texture evokes the details of cinemas from the "Golden Age" of film.
